Here's the Facebook post where we introduced everyone:

Soul Seed Academy is a proud trustee for Kiva.org.  Kiva is an incredible organization that offers interest-free micro business loans for entrepreneurs all over the world!  It's like Kickstarter but with no fees.  If they don't receive all the funding they need, their loan doesn't go through.  Take a look at who we're supporting this month and see if you want to give too!

Loans that change lives

This month, we're supporting:

Leydi Yohana (Ecuador)

Leydi is a hard-working and enterprising woman who always pushes herself to get her three children ahead in life. Doing it alone has been a real challenge, but her strength and love for her children are greater than any adversity. Leydi used to work in anything and everything until she was able to start her own business with the little savings she had. Thus she established her own stall for selling food. She needs this loan so that she can buy some things that she needs to improve her service. She needs to buy tables, a shelf, disposable plates, a quintal of potatoes, a container of oil, and eggs, among other necessary items for preparing her fast food. Her great ambition is to be able to be an example for her children and to provide them an education so that they can succeed in life.

Mary (Kenya)

This is Mary, a lady who is determined to achieve . She is a 35-year-old mother of four children living in Kakamega, a town that hosts a number of elite athletes in Kenya.

Mary has never neglected her children. She has been actively involved in farming for the past twelve years and has never regretted it or looked back. She practices mixed farming and sells milk, eggs, and various food crops at the local market. Mary is unwilling to let her children suffer, which is why she works six days in a week. In farming, Mary loves dairy farming the most, while her greatest challenge is lack of enough feed for her livestock.

Let's help these women get funded!

Last month, we supported Martha and Faith from Kenya!

Martha (Kenya)

Martha runs a hotel where she sells foods such as traditional ones, snacks and tea etc which have good sales. She loves her business because it has enabled her to grow personally and financially which has enabled her to support her family.

Faith (Kenya)

Faith is a landlady in one of the towns in Thika, a business she gratefully appreciates venturing into because of its assured income. Faith needs to ensure she makes some renovations for her customers to continue living in her units.
